Shangri-La opened its second hotel in Hangzhou this month.
The launch of the new Midtown Shangri-La Hangzhou on 12 March comes more than three decades after the Hong Kong-based hotel group launched its first property in the eastern Chinese city.
Located in the Kerry Central Complex – a mixed-use development in the Xiacheng district of the city – the new-build 13-storey Midtown Shangri-La Hangzhou is located next to a high-end shopping mall and is just five minutes’ walk from the UNESCO-listed West Lake area.
Midtown Shangri-La Hangzhou offers 417 rooms and suites ranging from 43-86m² and with views of the city or West Lake. Facilities include a club lounge, four F&B outlets, a fitness centre, indoor swimming pool and spa. And for the MICE market there are 10 function rooms including a grand ballroom.= Shangri-La’s Chinese portfolio now comprises 47 properties in mainland China, with a further seven in the pipeline.
