Shangri-La has confirmed that it will introduce its Kerry Hotels brand to Hong Kong later this year.
The launch of the new Kerry Hotel Hong Kong in December 2016 will mean that Hong Kong-based Shangri-La will operate all three of its hotel brands in its home market, including the existing Shangri-La and Hotel Jen properties.
Located on the waterfront at Kowloon’s Hung Hom Bay, the 16-storey Kerry Hotel will offer views of Victoria Harbour and Hong Kong Island. Its 545 rooms and suites will be larger than those typically found in Hong Kong, ranging from the 42m² deluxe city view rooms to the 294m² rooftop suite. More than 60% of the rooms will overlook the harbour.= Designed as an “urban resort”, the hotel will also feature five F&B outlets including outdoor dining options and a “food marketplace” that features 10 different styles of cuisine.
Other facilities offered by the hotel will include a club Lounge, a 25-metre outdoor swimming pool, 24-hour fitness centre and retail outlets.= It is also likely to become a magnet for the MICE market, with 17 function rooms that can accommodate between 30 and 660 people, outdoor event space, and a huge 1,756m² grand ballroom that can seat more than 1,000 guests.
Reservations for the Kerry Hotel Hong Kong will open in September 2016. Once open, it will become the third Kerry Hotel in operation, joining existing properties in Beijing and Shanghai. It will also become Shangri-La’s fourth property in Hong Kong, following the Kowloon Shangri-La Hong Kong, Island Shangri-La Hong Kong and Hotel Jen Hong Kong.
